I am a senior postdoctoral research fellow at the Institute for Medieval Research of the Austrian Academy of Sciences and lecturer on fixed-term contract at the University of Vienna. I studied Classics at the University of Florence and specialized in Medieval Latin for my PhD (University of Udine). After three years as a visiting fellow at Heidelberg University and at the Herzog August Bibliothek in Wolfenbüttel, in 2011I started working at the Viennese Institute for Medieval Research. I have been awarded an Elise-Richter grant in 2019 and I am currently running a research project called “Margins at the Centre” (Jan 2020 – Dec 2024), which investigates how Latin and the Bible were studied in the eastern regions of the Carolingian empire (9th c. CE).
