Bettina Grün is an Assistant Professor in the Institute for Statistics and Mathematics at Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien. She holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the Vienna University of Technology and a Venia Docendi in Statistics from the Johannes Kepler Universität Linz. She is interested in improving model-based clustering methodology and implementing statistical software packages for R, an open-source environment for statistical computing and graphics. In addition she enjoys applying statistical methods in a wide area of applications including economics and business to help extract useful information from data.
