The Edith Saurer Fund awards research fellowships to outstanding domestic and foreign scholars who have completed their doctorates and are specifically concerned with questions of social inequality from the historical perspective of gender, class and culture. Special consideration is given to projects that deal with Europe from the early modern period to the 20th century and pursue comparative and transnational approaches.
